ABOUT LOVE LIFE SOAP CO. | ADAIR GAUTREAU

My name is Adair Gautreau and I grew up in a small town in South Louisiana. At a time when you spent most of your free time running around outside barefoot, or in my case, riding a motorcycle barefoot. That was my mode of transportation. I had an interesting childhood, but a good one. My parents have always been a source of inspiration for me. My father once showed me a piece of wood, pointed out the imperfect details and told me, "These just give it character." To this day I try to find perfection in imperfection.  All things are beautiful, if you look at it the right way.

I'm drawn to the simple things in life, even though I don't think anyone would say I'm simple myself. I have a high level of curiosity and that's why I started making soap many moons ago. I was hooked after the first batch I made. That's when I realized why they say "Do what you love and love what you do." I have never looked back. And I never thought something I loved so much would turn into a business. That sounds like work and what I do is not work, it's a passion. A passion to provide others with great natural products, that are not only good for them but good for the environment. What more can a person ask for? I know what makes me smile everyday, the people that are in my circle and going to the shop so I can play with all the wonderful things that the great outdoors has provided us. What makes you smile?

Love Life Soap Co.'s products are
• made with natural ingredients
• have no artificial fragrances or coloring
• ethically and sustainably sourced
• soaps are all palm oil free
• handmade in small batches in St. Amant, Louisiana.

Local products are sourced whenever possible; small farms and farmers markets are a great source of ingredients. Some herbs I grow myself. I use local beer from micro breweries. I buy all my honey from a man down the street that produces some of the best raw honey I have ever had!
