Summer Skin Care
•Posted on April 19 2018

Spring has sprung and summer is right around the corner!! We are all ready to say goodbye to that dry winter skin and ready to get that beautiful summer glow going. I have very dry skin so the winter months are especially hard on my delicate skin.
Our skin is the largest organ we own, so taking care of it starts from the inside. The old saying, “We are what we eat” is so true. My first Tip for Healthy Summer Skin: Making sure we get all those good ole veggies & staying hydrated with water is very important to keeping your skin looking great. Try to stay away from all those sugary drinks, they dehydrate you very fast.
Tip Two: Keep your routine simple, there is no one, right answer for everyone. Washing your face at night with our Honey Oatmeal soap is a good start. The ground oats do a great job of exfoliation and the honey locks moisture in. In the mornings try gently wiping your face with a warm, soft cloth. Then splash with cool water, this will close your pores.
Tip Three: Use a good sunscreen! I can’t emphasize enough about the importance of a good sunscreen. Badger makes a all natural sunscreen for the face. FYI, All natural sunscreens don’t always play well with makeup that is synthetic. It does however mix well with a base that is made with natural ingredients. Sometimes you have to play around with different brands to find the one that works for you. Try to stay with one that has all natural/organic ingredients. The chemicals in traditional sunscreens can be harmful.
Just keep it simple. There is no real magical product out there that is going to make you look like a permanent 20 year old and if there is, I don’t want to know what’s in it. We are all born beautiful and we all can stay beautiful! I believe the aging process in something to embrace! Stay healthy my friends!! Enjoy the warm summer months!
