Since the beginning of Love Life Soap Co, we had a Pale Ale soap in our shop, but was never satisfied with it, so I set out to make it better. That’s where the story begins. There were a few things I knew for sure, I wanted to collaborate with a local company and work with people that felt as passionate about community as I do.

From the first email exchange with Jacob, from Tin Roof Brewing, I knew I had found the right partnership. Jacob was not only passionate about beer but also about our local community and all products made with all natural real ingredients. Tin Roof Brewing, Baton Rouge’s largest brewery, embodies the essence of community through there many local Baton Rouge events. They bring people together on Taco Tuesday, Yoga On Tap, Trivia Night and many other events.  What a fun way to get together, have a pint and meet a few new people, the krewe at Tin Roof, are my kinda people!

We are thrilled with the opportunity to collaborate with our friends at Tin Roof on our new and improved Pale Ale Soap. I knew we had to come up with something special for their VooDoo, American Pale Ale and was up for the challenge!

Getting  an exact match in scent wasn’t my intention,  rather complementing the key notes of the hops was the way to go. VooDoo IPA is made with Citra and Simcoe hops, which I infused into the oil base of the soap for the base note of the bar. Then combined the perfect amount of grapefruit, lemon, lime and orange for a fresh but hoppy bar. This combo was NOT easy to perfect because of the wheaty aroma of the beer, but here we are and I finally found a winning combination!
